The month of April 8-12, 2024 was designated as Career Week at Stafford Early Childhood Center. Coordinated by campus counselor, Takeya Coleman, this week was an opportunity to enrich student learning experiences gleaned throughout the school year through their college, career, and military readiness lessons. For this interview, I had an opportunity to speak exclusively with Mrs. Coleman to learn all about the magic behind our spectacular Career Week festivities and so much more. 

The month of April has been acknowledged as National Reading Month within the United States, which is a time of great encouragement for individuals of all ages to read every day. As we begin to close out the month, it is so important to not only emphasize the importance of literacy, but to also shine a light on some of the educators of Stafford Early Childhood Center who help students build a love for reading. For this interview, I had an opportunity to step into the enchanting world of The Magical Learning Lab which has been facilitated by veteran educators and academic interventionists, Sharon Moak and Brenda Wiese, with curriculum support from specialist, Stacy Lee. What follows, is an exclusive question and answer segment with these ladies to learn more about what it takes to make a Spartan a great reader!
